An ideal massage medium is most often a warmed natural vegetable oil, i.e. sesame, almond, apricot, rosehip or others. These natural vegetable oils are available from any health store and many supermarkets. basically if it's edible it is ok for your skin. There are many off the shelf massage oils in many fragrances, these should only be bought from health shops, but do check for additives. Massage & Sex Lube

Fragrances such as rose or lavender and other herbs can be added to enhance the experience.

When using oils, it can be messy, you will need towels and sheets that may only come clean with a hot wash, or facilities with washable surfaces. A plastic sheet works well when using lots of oil and the oil in a bowl or a squeezable bottle with a flip lid that seals shut.

Massage balms are gaining in popularity, some are greasy, but the better ones provide excellent friction and they are less messy to use than oils.

For other tactile experiences fun mediums like fur, food, sex toys, mud and anything that feels pleasurable can also be used, available from health stores.
